Monotech Systems installs Pixeljet® UV hybrid printer at Fine Digitals

Hyderabad based Fine Digitals purchased Pixeljet® 2512 RMO LED UV hybrid printer from Monotech Systems. With this new investment the company aims to provide high-value applications in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh such as fabric printing.
Fine Digitals, established in 2005, the company has a combination of B2B and B2C clients which includes major Indian brands including Samsung, Sony, Tata, LG, Panasonic, Dell and Lenovo.
‘We chose the Pixeljet® UV hybrid printer after watching the demo of the machine at a nearby print facility, KGN Xerox, where it was installed a few months ago,’ says Yusuf, owner of Fine Digitals.
The Pixeljet® hybrid printer can provide short-run to high-level production of multiple jobs and can handle several sizes of media of up to 100 millimeters in thickness. The printer runs at the speed of 450 square feet an hour and is equipped with Ricoh Gen 5 printhead. The applications of the machine include banners, posters, signage, displays, exhibition graphics, POP & POS, mock-ups, backlits, frontlits and self-adhesives (labels).
‘The competition in the flex printing market is very high in Hyderabad and the new machine will help us target fabric printing applications,’ Yusuf adds.
The company is focusing on fabric lightbox printing. Yusuf says that the popularity of fabric lightbox is increasing among corporates owing to its high visibility and better quality than flex. While providing quality work is the priority for Yusuf, he explains that fabric products have a higher margin than flex printing – another reason for targeting the fabric printing segment.
‘Fabric lightbox is eco-friendly, attractive and easily reusable. We are getting numerous inquiries for the product,’ he says. He emphasizes that providing new services is crucial for the growth of a business.
Fine Digital trusted an Indian manufacturer because of the smooth service and technical support. Mr. Yusuf informed that they already had a Chinese printer installed but they suffered a lot due to the lack of proper technical assistance and support from the company. The current restrictions and tensions between India and China and the Vocal for Local /Atmanirbhar Bharat campaign launched by the Prime Minister has seen Indian print businesses turn to indigenous suppliers for their requirements.
In terms of the market circumstances, he says that the signage business is all about demand. He saw a good demand before Dussehra, but it started to decline after the festive season.
Yusuf is positive about the growth of the signage industry and hopes that once a vaccine become available things will slowly become normal again.
